This is the first course in a sequence that may be used to fulfill the statistics requirements of the Fox School of Business and Management. Topics include data sources, sampling, summary measures, probability,
random variables, univariate and bivariate distributions, conditional expectation, estimation and testing. Extensive use of a statistical software. Note: This course can be used to satisfy the university Core Quantitative Reasoning B (QB) requirement. Although it may be usable towards graduation as a major requirement or university elective, it cannot be used to satisfy any of the university GenEd requirements.
