One important source of sociological evidence focuses on the meaning of events in daily life. This course is designed to provide the student with skills to evaluate qualitative research studies. More importantly, this class also teaches students to
conduct research in a variety of techniques including participant observation, in-depth interviewing, and the analyses of documents. All students will carry out a research project during the semester under the direction of the instructor.
