This course explores history through the prism of wars, their origins and consequences--with a focus on social, economic, technological, and cultural changes and their correlations with the nature of warfare. Various incarnations of the course examine virtually all regions of the globe, over time periods ranging from the prehistoric to the contemporary. Note: This course can be used to satisfy the university Core International Studies (IS) requirement. Although it may be usable towards graduation as a major requirement or university elective, it cannot be used to satisfy any of the university GenEd requirements.
