An introduction to the history, theory and aesthetics of digital and networked media arts. This course explores critical perspectives on how new technologies have shaped our world, as well as aesthetic and interactional strategies for alternative ways of seeing, understanding and reconfiguring our world via digital media. The course includes theoretical and creative readings, screenings and interactive exercises, as well as written responses through blogging and a paper.

Note: This course is open to all students in the School of Communications & Theater, and to other students by permission of the instructor.
