This course provides students who would like to start their own business or work for a small organization an understanding of how these types of organizations are financed. Topics covered include valuation, risk management and planning, investments and funding sources, as well as some basic understanding of VC funding, managing and funding grow, and liquidity. Note: This course should not be taken by FINANCE majors. Finance majors should take Finance 3511 instead. Entrepreneurship majors should substitute this course for Finance 3503 (if required) or Finance 3521. You cannot receive credit for both Finance 3511 and SGM 3521.
