A general introduction to the main types of literature (fiction, poetry, drama) with the goal of teaching the critical enjoyment of a variety of reading. Discussion of some major ways of addressing works of literature.

Note: This course can be used to satisfy a university Core Arts (AR) and Writing Intensive (WI) requirement. Although it may be usable towards graduation as a major requirement or university elective, it cannot be used to satisfy any of the university GenEd requirements.
