An introductory survey of various cultures from different regions of the world. Ethnographic case studies will be compared to show diversity and continuity in human lifestyles. A major emphasis will be placed on the impact of transglobal economic, political, and sociocultural change in the 20th century.Note: This course can be used to satisfy the university Core International Studies (IS) requirement. Although it may be usable towards graduation as a major requirement or university elective, it cannot be used to satisfy any of the university GenEd requirements.
