This course introduces the concepts and techniques of three-dimensional digital imagery and motion graphics, using Lightwave3D software. The first half of the semester introduces a broad palette of techniques and formal ideas, while the second half is spent on a major project of your own design. FMA 4248 (Introduction to 3D Graphics: Modeling) is a prerequisite for this course. The course offers a unique skill set and formal perspective for upper level students. Open to juniors and seniors, including non-majors and upper-level students from other colleges, with the specific aim of fostering an interdisciplinary, collaborative workshop environment.
