Students are exposed to current information systems technology used in the business decision-making process. Emphasis is placed on business initiatives first and how technology supports those initiatives second; the premise being that business initiatives should drive technology choices. Topics include information systems concepts and planning; value chain analysis; competitive advantage; databases and data warehouses; business intelligence; e-business; information security and ethics.
