This course examines current research and trends in elementary school curriculum. Planning the structure and variety of developmentally appropriate learning experiences for children in grades K through 6 is explored in terms of theory and practice. The complexity of designing and implementing effective instructional experiences for elementary classrooms is an essential part of this course.
