This year-long colloquium is an intensive interdisciplinary study which relates the arts, literature and philosophy of the Western world to their political, social and economic contexts. This class examines developments from the scientific revolution to the contemporary world. NOTE: HONS 120 and 130 together satisfy the general education requirement in history; each also counts three hours toward the satisfaction of the general education requirement in humanities. HONS 120 replaces the requirement for HIST 101 and HONS 130 replaces HIST 102. NOTE: Please refer to the appropriate academic catalog for additional course information concerning prerequisites, co-requisites and course restrictions..
