This course is a participatory learning experience for parents, those planning on being parents, and those who will teach parents to understand and gain the needed skills and responsibilities of being a parent. Students will learn, through a number of sources and projects, about parenting through the life span, various parent education strategies, and parenting dynamics in a diverse culture and with various family types and issues. Prerequisite: Sophomore class standing.
