3 hours Prerequisite: MATH 110 or the equivalent A conceptual development of the number systems through the real numbers using the mathematical structure of an ordered field, relations, and functions. An investigation of a development of geometry which will include an analysis of the beginning geometric concepts through an informal deductive study of congruence, similarity, and transformations. There will be a continuing emphasis on problem solving and applications throughout the course.
