An overview of the major statistical tools employed in contemporary behavioral science research and program evaluation. Exploration of the many contemporary and future uses of computer technology in psychological research and practice. Basic instruction in the use of statistical and database programs for data collection, coding and evaluation. Emphasis on experiential learning through computer-aided research and use of computer-based assessment and treatment programs. Survey of descriptive and inferential statistics; univariate and multivariate analysis of variance and co-variance (one-way and factorial); regression techniques; principal and (exploratory and confirmatory) factor analysis; power calculation and corrections for multiple comparisons. Considerable student practice in computation.
