(3-4 units) Introduction to classical and modern approaches in measurement theory and scale/test development including true score theory, factor analysis, item response theory, and generalizability theory. Covers scale development issues such as item/test bias, test equating, minimum competence assessments and mastery testing. Includes both a review of relevant literature and/or critique of published scales and practical exercises in scale/test development. Prerequisites: PSY 6021, ORG 6023.
