Examination of the persuasion process, the pervasiveness of persuasion in our lives and the identification of the distinctions between persuasion, propaganda and manipulation. Students will also explore attitudes and their relevance to the field of MPR. Students will develop the ability to apply appropriate persuasive communication strategies and tactics as they conceptualize and design MPR programs and campaigns. Prerequisite: COM 3000
