(3 units) The Cross-Cultural Competency Assessment component is the final course within the emphasis program. It serves as an indicator for what the student has learned throughout the emphasis area program. Students take a 60-item written exam that includes narrative, true/false, and multiple choice sections. In addition, students are required to write a culminating cross-cultural studies position paper (15-20 pages in length) and give an oral presentation of their written work.
