Credits: 1 Prerequisite: admission to ADN Program This course is designed to build on concepts, knowledge and skills attained in a practical nursing program. Role differences between the LPN and RN are discussed. This course begins to integrate the application of concepts of role transition for the AD nursing student, including communication, critical thinking, educator role, nursing leadership and management, and ethical/legal components of nursing. Selected RN psychomotor skills are taught and evaluated in the nursing lab. (2 classroom hours/week; lab integrated with classroom hours.) Transfer Curriculum Goal(s): none
