Credits: 2 Prerequisite: none The purpose of the course is to acquaint students with the many engineering disciplines available to them as a profession. The student will explore professional aspects of engineering, including educational and professional career opportunities and the engineering curriculum requirements for each field. Other topics will include an introduction to problem-solving methods and computer applications in engineering. Communication skills will be developed through reports requiring written and oral presentations using Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint. Learning will be enhanced through the use of field trips.
