Credits: 3 Prerequisite: none This course provides students who are new to Microsoft applications with the knowledge and skills necessary to troubleshoot basic problems end users will face related to configuring and maintaining applications such as Microsoft Office, Outlook Express, Internet Explorer, and other applications that run on a Microsoft client operating system. This is an introductory level application-support course designed to provide information on how to troubleshoot applications running on the current version of Microsoft client operating systems. This is the second course in the Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) certification. This course is intended for new entrants and career changers new to the IT industry who have experience using Microsoft Office and have basic Microsoft Windows navigation skills. This course is also intended for a current call center technician with six months experience looking to validate and update their support skills. Career Preparation: The studies in this course will help students prepare for careers in computer support, client support, and system support such as MCDST, systems analyst, support technician, support analyst, and help desk administrator.
