Topics covered include: an introduction to electronic commerce, technology infrastructure, selling on the web, marketing on the web, business to business solutions, web auctions, virtual communities, web portals, e-commerce environment, web server architecture, e-commerce software and utilities, security and security threats, planning, and payment systems. Career Preparation: The studies in this course will help students prepare for careers in data communication such as Computer Support Specialist, Network Administrator, Network Engineer, Systems Analyst, Systems Engineer, Business Analyst, Web Designer, Web Site Host, and CIO.
