Credits: 4 Prerequisite: none This course is one of a series of Microsoft System Administration and Engineering courses that help prepare students for the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator MCSA - and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer MCSE - industry certification. This course provides students with the knowledge and skills to implement, manage, and maintain a Microsoft Windows Server network infrastructure. These tasks include implementing routing; implementing, managing, and maintaining Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name System (DNS), and Windows Internet Name Service (WINS); securing Internet Protocol (IP) traffic with Internet Protocol security (IPSec) and certificates; implementing a network access infrastructure by configuring the connections for remote access clients; and managing and monitoring network access. Career Preparation: The studies in this course will help students prepare for careers in Networking such as MCSE, MCSA, Network Administrator, Network Engineer, Systems Analyst, LAN Administrator, WAN Administrator and Systems Engineer.
