Credits: 4 Prerequisite: none This course is one of a series of Microsoft System Administration and Engineering courses that help prepare students for the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator - MCSA - and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer - MCSE - industry certification. This course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage accounts and resources, maintain server resources, monitor server performance, and safeguard data in a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 environment. These tasks include managing user, computer, and group accounts; managing access to network resources; managing printers; managing an organizational unit in a network based on Active Directory directory service; and implementing Group Policy to manage users and computers. Career Preparation: The studies in this course will help students prepare for careers in Networking such as MCSE, MCSA, Network Administrator, Network Engineer, Systems Analyst, LAN Administrator, WAN Administrator and Systems Engineer.
