Credits: 3 Prerequisite: none Students in this course will be introduced to the use of transparent watercolor pigment and mixed medium. Emphasis is placed on the translation of 3-D form into 2-D visual expression. Creative decision-making is emphasized along with skills in aesthetic judgments and constructive self-criticism. An introduction to historical, national and regional artists of various backgrounds is included. Emphasis is also placed on the development of the elements of art and the principles of design. Individual techniques will be developed. This course is appropriate for art majors as well as students wishing to fulfill liberal arts requirements. Transfer Curriculum Goal(s): 6
