This means looking at all the aspects of health and illness by including sex and gender. A woman's unique biology and social experiences make her health and medical issues unique as well. Discussion of patient rights and responsibilities are included, along with body image and violence towards women. Prevention and wellness from a woman's perspective is a major focus.
