Explores the role and impact of public policy at various levels of government in managing and protecting water resources. Topics covered include: roles of institutions at the local to international levels; review of public expenditure theory; basics of microeconomic analysis; behavior, social and cultural issues; meaning of water security at household, national, and international levels; protection of critical water infrastructure from natural and human-induced hazards, ethics of local, national, and international systems for dealing with water security; and process of integrated water resources assessment and analysis.
