Introduction to the tools and terminology needed by staff of public and not-for-profit organizations to effectively manage financial resources. Emphasis on how to create tools and systems needed to analyze fiscal data and how to use the data to answer fundamental questions facing financial managers. Topics include budgeting, construction of cash flow projections, reading financial statements, internal and external reporting requirements, internal controls, and borrowing and investment decisions.
