Role of the courts in shaping environmental policy and ways that the regulatory system connects policy objectives to legal directives. Role of science and economics in environmental law. Provides students with a solid introduction to the American legal system and the basic structure of many of the major environmental statutes. Students work with the Mystic River Watershed Association on high-priority issues that blend law and policy. Prerequisites Graduate standing or seniors with permission.
