Spanish cultural history as reflected in essays, novels, newspapers, music, and films. Topics include the Spain of the three religions, the Golden Age of Imperial Spain, Spanish women and men in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, the Spanish Civil War, and the contemporary picture. Prerequisites Spanish 31 or 34, and 32 or 35, or permission of instructor.
