Methodical use of mono- and bilingual dictionaries and other reference materials, including web-based tools, to explore the complexity of the lexicon and the background knowledge necessary to a closer reading of Spanish. Translation assignments in literature, humanistic social sciences, and creative journalism exemplified by early Gabriel García Márquez.Prerequisites Spanish 22, 23, or 24 or consent.
