A second course in statistics. Methods of exploratory data analysis, general linear model techniques (regression, correlation, and ANOVA), and analysis of categorical data (contingency table analysis). Hands-on work using Excel and SPSS software with real data from the social and behavioral sciences. Will develop skills in interpreting research findings. Prerequisites Introductory statistics course with a social and behavioral science focus. In addition to normal class time, meets for five additional 2-hour computer lab sessions.
