The golden age of Chinese philosophy (500-200 B.C.), with special emphasis on the major schools that established the foundations of Chinese thought: Confucianism, Daoism, Moism, School of Names, Legalism, and Yin-Yang philosophy. Issues such as basic orientations of Chinese thought vis-a-vis Western philosophy and the relevance of ancient Chinese thought to the contemporary world will also be discussed.
