Introduction to structure determination methods that give detailed information on atomic arrangements in crystalline solids. Emphasis on single-crystal X-ray diffraction, with some attention to neutron diffraction, and powder methods. Space group symmetry, structure factors, methods of structure solution, and measures of structure accuracy. Prerequisites Permission of instructor.
