Introduction to methods of quantitative analysis. Data treatment; volumetric and gravimetric analysis; equilibrium and buffer chemistry; basic instrumental concepts of spectroscopy, chromatography, coulometry, voltametry, and biosensors. For both chemistry and life science majors, as well as students enrolled in environmental studies. Three lectures, two laboratories. One and one-half courses. Prerequisites Chemistry 2, 12, or permission of instructor.
