The six CDC priority health areas are introduced and studied to guide the student toward intelligent self-direction of health behavior, and concomitant quality of life. Community and environmental problems are studied as challenges to interrelate the responsibilities of the individual to society and to acquaint the individual with health-related resources available for welfare and protection. This course is designed as an introductory course for Health Education, Physical Education, and Athletic Training majors. WRITD, Spring semester.
