3 semester hours This course will serve as an extension to Physics 303, Modern Physics. A study of atomic, nuclear, and elementary particle systems will be covered more thoroughly than Physics 303. Concepts of many-electron systems, molecules, statistical mechanics, and solid state physics will be introduced. Time will also be allotted for the study of the experimental aspects of modern physics. Prerequisites: MATH 201 and PHYS 303.
