3 semester hours An introduction to the theory and practice of psychological research. Students learn the basic approaches, designs, and methods used in conducting experimental research. They also learn to use basic statistics in analyzing and interpreting research data. Each student designs an experimental research study; students in small groups will design and conduct studies using observational and survey methods. Prerequisite: PSYC 101.
