3 semester hours An exploration of human psychopathology and the therapeutic treatment of people who are suffering from psychological disorders. Students develop an understanding of the varieties of unusual experience and behavior as these are actually lived in the everyday world The course focuses on the etiology, symptomatology, treatment, and prognosis of the various psychological disorders, with special attention to the concerns of community mental health. Prerequisite: PSYC 101 or 103.
