7 semester hours (Theory-5, Campus Lab-1, Clinical-1) This course introduces skills and core concepts basic to nursing. Students are introduced to the curriculum organizers as they relate to the provision of basic nursing care. The clinical component of the course utilizes long-term care and alternative settings appropriate for the performance of caring interventions to promote health. Prerequisite: admission to the nursing program. Co-requisites: BIOL 107, PSYC 200.
