4 semester hours An introductory course designed primarily for students majoring in Environmental Science. The course introduces the study of the human impact upon the Earth's ecosystems, largely from a natural science perspective. Topics include: Human ecology, environmental politics, resource use, land management, economics, and ethical considerations. A laboratory with field trips is included. Cannot be combined with ENVS 100 to fulfill the General Education Natural Science requirement. Pre- or co-requisite: MATH 101 or higher.
