3 semester hours A study of the process approach to teaching social studies in early and middle childhood education including teaching-learning sequences and strategies, inquiry learning, critical thinking, and simulation. West Virginia studies are applied in the context of social studies education. Prerequisites: EDUC 209, three semester hours from the Social Science General Graduation Requirements, and admission to the Teacher Education Program.
