3 semester hours A study of the content, methodology, and instructional materials for an early and middle childhood mathematics program. Stresses use of manipulatives, knowledge from learning theory, evaluation, and individual differences in selecting, organizing, and presenting mathematical content. Prerequisites: EDUC 209, MATH 101, 110, and admission to the Teacher Education Program. Co-requisite: Complete 10 hours of tutoring in the public schools.
