3 semester hours The main focus of this course is on the two aspects of personal finance: credit and money management. The following topics are discussed: applying for credit, bankruptcy, building credit, debit cards and electronic banking, debt consolidation, federal reserve agencies, using credit properly, bad credit loans, unsecured personal loans, choosing an investment product, how to choose a financial planner, avoiding investment problems, bill consolidation and mortgage refinancing.
