3 semester hours A study of the various types of literature for children. The criteria and purpose of the selection and the evaluation of the standards of selection, techniques of use in the classroom, techniques of story telling, and a survey of modern bibliography of children's literature for different age and grade levels are taken up. Prerequisite: Admission to the Teacher Education program or permission of the instructor.
