1, 1 semester hour each Introductory laboratory studies. Among the topics covered are basic techniques; classification and properties of matter; chemical change; stoichiometry; determination of the formula of a compound; gas laws; acid-base titrations; typical chemical reactions; reaction rates and the properties of typical elements. In addition, green chemistry will be integrated into the laboratory studies. CHEM 121: co-requisite CHEM 120; CHEM 123: prerequisite CHEM 120,121, co-requisite CHEM 122.
