Prerequisites: Completion of the G.E. Foundation, upper division standing, six units of General Education science courses and consent of instructor. Examines women and their roles in science in terms of their socio-historical context, their specific contributions, and the nature of the scientific problems they pursued, including methodology and outcomes. Explores the cultural and institutional obstacles to the success of women in science.Letter grade only (A-F). Same course as NSCI 309I. (Lec 3 hrs.)
