Prerequisites: SOC 100, 250, 260 and one upper division course in sociology. Review of social research methods with emphasis on research design, including operationalization, measurement, scaling, reliability, validity and sampling; techniques of data collection and analysis. Individual student research projects are required.(Lecture 3 hours, laboratory 2 hours) Letter grade only (A-F).
