Prerequisite: Knowledge of mathematical procedures usually covered in elementary high school algebra as demonstrated on a screening examination. Introduction to descriptive and inferential statistics and applications in social and behavioral science research, performance of statistical exercises by interactive computer. Emphasis upon knowledge of which statistical tests to use and how to interpret results.Letter grade only (A-F). (Discussion 3 hr., Lab 2 hrs.) Not open for credit to students with credit in HDEV 250, C/LA 250, ANTH 202, MATH 108, 180 or PSY 110, 210.
