Basic computer organization, representation of information and instruction, addressing techniques, input/output, assembly language programming, macros and macro processing. Introduction to software systems, including assemblers, linkage editors and loaders. Programming assignments in assembly language. (Lecture 2 hours, lab 3 hours.) Letter grade only (A-F).
