Survey of architectural elements, furnishings, and decorative motifs useful to theatre designers: prehistoric through modern including Far Eastern styles. Scene Design II. (3) The effects of the elements of scene design in the theatre and the designer's methods of working on design problems. Individual design skill development through creative project assignments. Prerequisite: Thea 355. Scene Painting. (2) Introduction to painting for the stage with an emphasis on materials, texturing techniques, and three-dimensional effects. Lab fee required.
